Copyright and DMCA Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect people who use AudioRecorder.Net to do the same. This page explains how copyright works on our site and how to send us a notice.

We do not host your audio

AudioRecorder.Net is a set of tools that run in your browser. Audio you record or open is processed and stored on your own device. We do not upload it to our servers, we do not publish it, and we do not provide a way for users to share audio with other visitors through our site. Because of that, we generally do not store or have access to any user audio that could be the subject of a copyright claim.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights or permission to record, edit, export and share any audio you use with the tools. Copying or sharing copyrighted music, broadcasts, audiobooks or other protected material without permission may be unlawful. Using the tools does not give you any license to third-party content.

Submitting a copyright notice

If you believe that content on AudioRecorder.Net, such as text, images, code or other material that we publish, infringes your copyright, you may send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)) or a similar law to contact@audiorecorder.net with the subject line "Copyright notice". Your notice should include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with the exact page address (URL), so we can find it.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material and notify the person responsible. We may forward a copy of the notice, including your contact information, to that person. Incomplete notices may not be actioned.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@audiorecorder.net containing your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in line with the law.

False claims

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please consider whether fair use or another exception applies before sending a notice.

Repeat infringers

Where appropriate and where we are able to identify them, we may restrict access for people who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

Advertisements

Ads on this site are supplied by third parties such as Google AdSense. If you believe an ad infringes your rights, you can notify us at contact@audiorecorder.net, and you can also report it to the ad provider through its own reporting tools, which is usually the fastest way to have an ad removed.

Other intellectual property

For trademark or other intellectual property concerns, write to contact@audiorecorder.net with the details and the page address. See also our Terms of Service.
